Heidi's ancestry to Colorado goes back four generations and her tie to the land and culture of the beautiful state inform the landscapes she paints.

Heidi's work is focused on the enchanting colors, endless textures, and incredible beauty of the Colorado landscape.  Her paintings dwell in the space between abstraction and realism, inviting the viewer into a magical world where the inner emotional experience and outer physical existence meet.  Drawing upon the idea that the inner life and experience with the physical spaces we move through each day are deeply connected, Heidi hopes to bring to the minds of her viewers the experience of both familiar physical spaces and common human experience.

When Heidi is not working in the studio, she can be found teaching Photography, Drawing, and Painting at Thornton High School or leading workshops and classes around the Denver Metro area.  She lives in the Capitol Hill neighborhood with her miniature poodle, Remi, who can also often be found greeting visitors at her studio.
