When a tree comes down in Boulder — from a storm, from disease, from development — it usually ends at the chipper. We take it somewhere else entirely.
Tree Sky EcoArt was founded in 2017 by Renata Hromadkova and Vit Kohoutek, an artist-arborist couple working out of North Boulder. We transform locally rescued urban trees into sculptural furniture, hand-carved wooden jewelry, and eco-art objects — each one shaped by European craft traditions and finished to last generations.
Our pieces are functional sculpture. A coffee table made from a single Giant Cottonwood root. A bench carved from one block of Red Oak. A side table handmade according to sacred geometry with 108-degree angles.
Every crack, ring, and fire scar you see in our work is real — it’s the tree’s autobiography. We don’t hide nature’s marks; we build around them.
