Hello! I’m an abstract-impressionist landscape and flower painter whose work celebrates the uplifting, healing power of nature and the effect of bold color on the human experience. Although pastel was my first love (and I still use it occasionally), acrylic has somehow stolen my heart… or am I just fickle?

My landscapes evoke a strong and compelling sense of place, sometimes familiar, sometimes unknown, mysterious, or even magical. My florals explore bursts of unexpected color, subtle patterns, and textures designed to delight the eye and stir the emotions,.

I create in what used to be my living room (but is now a lovely, spacious studio with a velvet sofa and a couple of cool rugs). I’m endlessly obsessed with line and shape and mark, with blending and dabbing and dripping, with strokes and scrapes and splatters. I paint because it’s exuberant, absorbing, fulfilling, and sometimes truly transformative.
