Instead of painting the things in the world we can actually see for ourselves, I’m seeking to create a portrait of how things feel, or what they sound like, or how they might be functioning inside, or what they are doing when no one is looking. It is the whirl of things, the buzz, the fizz, the ricocheting energy, of light, sound, and intention that I hope to capture in my art.
