Two photographers, two views of the world
Meet Richard and Jill Rumley, both are photographers and yet, their art is completely different.
Richard’s photography is highly technical. He uses a Nikon Z6 with an array of high-quality lenses for his shots. His favorite subjects are in nature; wildlife, landscapes, and starry skies. He will spend hours perfecting his shot and more hours in the digital “darkroom” (his computer) making edits.
Jill, on the other hand, thinks she was an archeologist in a past life. She’s always been fascinated by what’s old, left behind, buried, or decaying. Her photography explores the idea that archeology is all around us. In the abandoned buildings, cars, trucks, ruins left behind. With her micro OM-D E10 micro 4/3 camera by Olympus, she filters her images through a vision of high contrast colors and moody skies, which evoke a sense of nostalgia for the “good ol’ days.”
Both photographers’ imagery tells a story, but it is your story, your memory, your emotion. Step inside the moment from your past, relive the experience of being present.

About the ArtistYour Tour Guide
Richard & Jill Rumley
The Rumley's have been photographers since the early 1980s when they each learned how to develop film in a darkroom in school.
Over the decades, they each have owned many different cameras. Jill was an early adopter of digital photography by getting her first digital camera in 2000. It took Richard a few more years to warm up to digital.
Richard is an ASIC Design Engineer for Seagate for the last 25 years. You can see his debugging skills in his photographic work!
Jill works as a marketing expert and is the Artist Relations Liaison for StudioDoorz. She has two decades of experience working as a freelance Graphic Artist and Web Designer.
Richard is not much for Social Media, but you can see Jill's current work by following her on Instagram. (P.S. she's also a painter!)
