Jessica Marshall creates contemporary western landscapes in impressionistic, saturated color. Jessica earned a BA in Communications from the University of Colorado, Boulder while maintaining a membership in the Glass Art Society and attending post-graduate workshops at The Corning Museum of Glass. 

​The convergence of these two study paths laid a natural foundation for Jessica's determination to communicate light, reflection, transparency and how each interplay with color. Utilizing the abundance of subject matter in the natural scenery surrounding Rocky Mountain National Park and the Colorado Front Range, Jessica's current studio practice focuses on this magical strip that rides the backbone of Colorado.  Working in layers of acrylic paint and occasional inks, waxes and chalk, each piece lends a different viewing from across a distance, to the inspected finely layered detail below that seeps warmth, like the glow of a kiln up from the canvas to the surface.

Jessica Marshall's artwork has been invited to hang at Mesa Labs at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, the Loveland Public Library, as a flag hung on Broadway in Boulder Colorad, at the Lincoln Gallery in Loveland Colorado, as greeting cards at the historic Boulder Bookstore, Featured in the Daily Camera's Friday section and welcomed into hundreds of private collections.
