Kathleen LeRoy is a contemporary abstract painter based in Boulder, Colorado. Originally from Florida, she grew up in the deep South, with a family history rooted in plantation ownership and slavery. This complex history profoundly influences her work, with themes of identity, history, and transformation woven into her creative process.

A self-taught artist, LeRoy’s creativity is shaped by her diverse experiences as a psychotherapist, mother, entrepreneur, and lifelong student. She has honed her craft through mentorships with accomplished painters in the Boulder area and has participated in over 20 exhibitions across Colorado.

Her paintings have been featured in notable galleries such as R Gallery (Boulder), The Collective of Boulder, Osmosis Gallery (Niwot, CO), and Janice Griffiths Gallery (Fallbrook, CA). LeRoy is a member of Open Studios and the NoBo Art District, regularly exhibiting in national art shows, including those with the Students Art League of Denver.
