I am an illustrator ‘in reverse’ my focus being primarily on story, character, and relationships including the relationship between characters and environment leaving the backstory and detail to viewers who often are compelled to do just that despite often starting out as strangers to each other who might have wandered into a space where my work is on exhibit.

Since the mid-60s, I have worked as an illustrator, art director, animator, and everything in between pioneering computer animation for Apple and others in the late 80s. With a formal background in art (B.F.A. and M.F.A., Animation+), I began working professionally as a visual artist before high school and have never stopped.

Always focused less on medium and more on message, my work continues to range from drawings and oil paintings to houseware to prints (digital and analog) to wearables and beyond.
