Originally from Minnesota, I lived in the Boston area from 1968 to 2015 when I moved to Northern California. The expansive art community here has been very inspiring and I've enjoyed working in many media including painting, mixed media, collage, monotype prints, and photography. Many years creating and installing all types of surface design, textile design, and decorative interior and exterior finishes has also influenced my own current work and interest in multiple media and how they interact. My long time career as an architectural color consultant continues to dovetail beautifully with my artwork.

My father was an artist and I daily feel connected to him in ways I had not expected. Growing up in an artist's home and work environment has become an interesting part of my own artistic journey.
