CONTEMPORARY SYMBOLIC ART
In a world increasingly hungry for meaning and stillness, my contemporary symbolic paintings are created as contemplative works—art meant to be lived with over time. Each piece explores transformation, inner landscapes, and healing for the soul, inviting quiet reflection as well as imaginative discovery.
My imagery arises from sustained contemplation, visions, and dream states, combined with an intuitive, responsive painting process. Collectors often tell me they experience my work as both a refuge and a catalyst: a source of calm that continues to reveal new layers of meaning the longer it is lived with.
Color is central to my practice. I work intuitively with rich, layered palettes that bring a sense of vitality and joy to a space, while maintaining depth and subtlety. The paintings are built slowly and deliberately, using either acrylics or oils with glazes or traditional egg tempera and oil techniques. Each original is developed over many hours, sometimes weeks, through intricate layering and fine detail.
These methods create a distinctive luminosity and surface quality, which also translate beautifully into museum-quality giclée prints. The prints retain the vibrancy, depth, and nuance of the original works, making them an enduring option for collectors.
Collectors are warmly invited to visit my studio gallery and view the work in person. My home studio is fully immersed in my paintings and prints, offering an intimate setting to experience the work and discuss process, inspiration, and placement. The gallery is open to the public from 10am–5pm and overlooks the blue Mingus Mountains. I will make exceptions to the timing. It is located in Cornville, Arizona, just twenty minutes south of West Sedona off 89A, shortly before Cottonwood. My video below was from my studio in Sedona. Most of the art is simliar with some new pieces.
